An annual review like this is always the crème de la crème of a year that is almost over. And so we want to summarize the last 9 months.
For us, 2024 has been a big and very beautiful year of change. Exactly today, nine months ago, we went online with the Ge❤️Ma Shop. We didn't know what was in store for us with our heart project and how everything would develop. For us, from the very beginning at Ge❤️Ma, the idea of creation (gema, do something!) counted more than the economic principle (is it even worth it?). An experiment in which we decided to invest our life time in something joyful and meaningful, something that fulfills us and with which we can also make a community contribution. Our motto: "We shape our own future." With all the chaos in life and the distraction from the essentials, there are fundamental truths and old knowledge that are mostly forgotten in our fast-moving times. It is important to keep reminding ourselves of these things: Each of us needs dreams and visions that are meaningful and motivate us to achieve a goal. Just thinking about it, staying in your head, will not bring you any closer to your dreams. Always use this moment mindfully, because you determine your life. Now.
Looking back, we have both managed to courageously leave our comfort zone and focus on new paths in the past nine months. In 2024, we took responsibility and thus our own lives into our own hands, together and each for ourselves. The Ge❤️Ma Stock also has symbolic meaning in this regard: "Take your scepter in your hand - don't wait and hope - DO." Like so many others, we have already realized that we don't need to wait for help from outside. If we want to live in a different world, each of us has to make a contribution. WE are all needed - carrying on as before is simply not possible. Many systems are collapsing right now and new approaches to solutions are needed. Above all, this world needs more humanity, honesty, helpfulness and a genuine, loving togetherness. At least that's how we feel. Of course, every person is different and each of us has our own truth and reality. For us it was important to find out what is important to us, what works and is right for us. To live our truth. Real and authentic. We looked for people who represented similar values and with whom we could exchange ideas and network, and in this way we got to know many wonderful people.
Of course, there have always been small setbacks and delays. The balance stick is still stuck in the development phase. Now I see things much more relaxed. Gerald has always had a very relaxed attitude. His mantra for me: "Setbacks are just part of it, we grow from these challenges."
With our projects, planting trees in the Hallegg nature reserve, the work project “Stocktaschen” produced by Lebenshilfe Kärnten, and most recently with the Christmas donation to Aktion Leben Kärnten, we were not only able to make a small contribution, but also come a little closer to our goal.
We also managed to combine old knowledge with the spirit of the times - and by that I don't just mean walking with a cane, but also other simple self-help techniques - and in doing so we were able to achieve another goal: to inform, inspire, make people think and motivate. The topics of mindfulness, stress management, exercise and mental health were and continue to be at the forefront. We had so many wonderful encounters at our workshops and the feedback from those who took part really touched and motivated us.
There are further project plans for the coming year 2025. But we don't want to reveal anything about that yet.
At this point we would like to thank all our cooperation partners, workshop participants and customers. We are grateful for the moments we were able to share with you this year and are already looking forward to many more experiences, discussions and workshops in the New Year.
We are filled with joy and pride at what we have been able to achieve together in 2024 - or more precisely, in the last nine months.
2025 will certainly continue to be exciting for all of us. With this in mind, we hope for the New Year that we will continue to have many encounters with ❤️ people who, like us, have the desire to do something together and actively - for our future. We are convinced that there are already many of these people - we just don't know each other yet. 😉
