About Us

GeMa – Gerald & Marion

Two people. One shared idea.

We, Gerald and Marion, have been sharing our lives since 2020. Along the way, we have discovered many shared interests and passions – and, above all, how well our different experiences and skills complement one another.

In 2023, this became GeMa: a project close to our hearts. We wanted to create something that felt right for us, reflected our values and brought other people joy, or helped them make time for themselves in everyday life.

What GeMa stands for

Listening to your heart and following your own path. Taking responsibility for yourself. Staying human instead of simply functioning. Learning from one another, growing together and paying attention to simple things again.

We believe that solutions do not always need to be complicated. Sometimes it is the simplest things that fit most easily into everyday life.

Gerald

I spent over 20 years working in global purchasing for various industrial companies. Wood was a constant companion for many of those years. Since autumn 2023, I have been self-employed as a commercial agent, helping businesses establish themselves in markets and find suitable suppliers.

I was able to bring my experience with wood, production and suppliers directly into the development of our GeMa products. Stockgehen has now become part of my everyday life, too.

Marion

Since 2004, I have offered training courses and workshops in kinesiology and stress management. As a qualified psychological counsellor with my own practice, I value practical, down-to-earth approaches that are easy to integrate into everyday life.

Around 20 years ago, the shiatsu practitioner and teacher Peter Krainer first introduced me to the stick. Since then, this simple exercise has accompanied me at home, in my practice and at seminars.

How the GeMa Stick came about

The idea grew out of a very practical problem: I regularly needed several sticks for my seminars. The commercially available versions were long, unwieldy and difficult to transport in a small car.

So we looked for a better solution together. The stick needed to be compact, attractive, practical and easy to transport – while still offering everything needed for the exercises.

Marion’s many years of experience with the stick came together with Gerald’s knowledge of wood, production and suppliers. The result was our GeMa Stick.

“When we spend less time on our smartphones and reconnect with ourselves, it becomes much easier to discover happiness in everyday life. Instead of faster, further, higher – we prefer more mindful, more flexible, slower and more human.”

For us, GeMa is an ongoing journey that develops through our experiences, ideas and the people who accompany us.
