Ge❤️Ma holistic dancing: Transformation through dance – A journey with Claudia Ernstbrunner

Marion Wallner

At a meeting at the Living and Learning group practice, I had the pleasure of meeting Claudia Ernstbrunner. As a holistic dance, embodiment, and consciousness trainer, she opens high-vibrational spaces that connect us with our true essence, our intelligent body awareness, and the creative source of life. In this blog post, I would like to introduce her work and the transformative power of dance in more detail.

Claudia is not only an experienced trainer but also an inspiring personality who knows how to help people awaken their innermost sources of strength. The holistic dance that Claudia practices creates a connection between the inner and outer. This connection allows for a profound experience of lightness and healing on physical, mental, and spiritual levels.

A dance journey ideally begins barefoot with a shaking meditation and mindful awareness exercises that activate our body awareness. It's not about "dancing perfectly," but about creating a space for your authentic expression. This is pure medicine – Claudia is convinced of it!

We received the following personal feedback from Claudia:

" I first encountered the GeMa cane in Marion's practice. I was immediately fascinated by the simplicity and, at the same time, incredibly powerful effect of this method. Marion initially recommended that I do about 10 minutes of "cane walking" every day. I did this and had an extremely positive experience! Firstly, I feel much more grounded and also feel the effect through my foot reflex zones. I felt more alive and free from pain, especially when it came to lower back pain. The cane itself has a wonderful energy due to the element of wood. I now incorporate cane walking into my daily movement practice and will continue to include it in future courses. The handy GeMa cane, or rather, cane walking, is a simple, wonderful, and effective method that I can 100% recommend to anyone who wants to do something good for themselves and their bodies in the long term. It is so valuable that you have rediscovered this ancient knowledge and this simple method of self-help. Your canes are a true gift and made with so much love! I am grateful for this. very grateful to you! ❤️

Walking with a cane can actually be a helpful method before and after dancing. Before dancing, it helps counteract the effects of wearing shoes for long periods, while afterward, it contributes to grounding by activating the foot reflex zones. Through the self-made foot reflexology massage using the GeMa cane, the entire body is activated and balanced. Another important aspect is fascia relaxation of the foot. Walking with a cane helps loosen the fascia, which forms the connective tissue around the muscles and organs. This can reduce tension and stiffness in the feet and improve flexibility—even while dancing.

“I dance barefoot through the world because it’s healthy and enjoyable.”

Barefoot dancing has many benefits, both physical and emotional:

Improved body awareness: Dancing barefoot allows you to develop a better sense of your body and its movements. You feel the contact with the ground and are more aware of your balance and stability.

Natural freedom of movement: Without shoes, you have more freedom in your movements. You can express yourself more naturally and authentically, which is especially important when it comes to finding your own dance style.

Grounding: Direct contact with the ground provides a sense of grounding and stability. This can help reduce stress and promote a sense of connection to the earth and the moment.

Promote foot health: Walking or dancing barefoot strengthens the foot muscles and can help improve foot health.

Increased sensitivity: Contact with the floor sensitizes the nerve endings in the feet, leading to a better perception of textures and temperatures. This can intensify and enrich the dance experience.

Emotional freedom: Dancing barefoot can also represent an emotional liberation. It encourages you to break away from societal norms and expectations and focus entirely on your own expression.

Fun and joy: Many people find dancing barefoot enjoyable and liberating. It can evoke a sense of childlikeness and lightheartedness.

Overall, cane walking, barefoot walking, and dancing can create a deeper connection with yourself and your surroundings. So next time you go dancing, consider dancing barefoot and experience the benefits for yourself!

Claudia's approach shows how dance and movement are not just a form of art, but also a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing.
