GeMa besucht Kerstin Traunig

GeMa visits Kerstin Traunig

In the penultimate stock blog of this year, we would like to introduce Kerstin Traunig, another cooperation partner with GeMa Pick up Station .

I have known Kerstin for about two years now and I really appreciate her work. In recent years, I have observed many children with developmental delays in my practice. In many cases, kinesiological movement exercises help with the next developmental step, but sometimes they don't. The reason for this is that the early childhood reflexes have not yet been integrated into the child's body. The reasons for this are varied and usually begin with stress triggers during pregnancy, birth and in the first few years of life. In many cases, this is noticeable through learning difficulties, concentration problems, outbursts of anger, lack of impulse control, anxiety or extreme shyness.

More and more children are affected by this, especially in the last three years there have been many anxiety and stress issues that are now having an impact on children of all ages.

I am therefore all the more pleased to have a competent colleague and cooperation partner in Kerstin Traunig at my side, not only in relation to the GeMa stick and walking on the stick, but above all as a valuable addition to my work as a psychosocial counselor and kinesiologist. When I have exhausted all possibilities with my work and the desired success is not achieved, Kerstin helps with her reflex integration training. This training is an effective approach to catching up on developmental delays, catching up on neuronal maturity, tackling the problem at its root and thus enabling successful learning. This is because a significant proportion of learning and behavioral difficulties have their origin in unintegrated early childhood reflexes.

In addition, methods for stress management and techniques for regeneration are also used in their training. The combination of all areas ultimately ensures a sense of achievement in everyday school and family life.

Kerstin Traunig has been working in the field of education for more than 20 years. During her time as an elementary teacher, she had the opportunity to accompany and support numerous kindergarten children in their personal development with a lot of commitment and empathy.

Close cooperation with parents has always been an essential part of her work.

Kerstin kept asking herself how developmental delays can occur and what obstacles need to be overcome. Through reflex integration, the “missing link” was found.

"I suddenly understood why important milestones in a child's development are difficult, incomplete or not achieved at all. With reflex integration, I learned a method to close the gaps in development that have arisen and to initiate neuronal maturation."

My personal experiences with the GeMa stick and why I can recommend walking on the stick…

Walking with a cane has become a firm fixture in our family and is practiced enthusiastically by all of us. Even before school and before starting work, we use this simple but effective method as a "pick-me-up" to activate our bodies and start the day full of energy. The positive experiences we have had are so convincing that walking with a cane has become an indispensable part of our everyday lives. It not only promotes our physical fitness, but also brings with it a pleasant routine that connects us with one another and strengthens us. We also use the GeMa cane when the day has been a bit turbulent and we feel the need to ground ourselves, "calm down" and get back to ourselves. 😉

In my training sessions with children and young people, I use walking with a stick as an effective and at the same time uncomplicated supplement that can easily be continued at home. Rhythmic walking not only invigorates the mind, but also activates the body. Especially before studying and before starting homework, walking with a stick is a very good way to increase concentration and sharpen attention.

It is also important to get active again during the breaks between longer study sessions. Walking with a stick, ideally outdoors or with the window open, stimulates the cardiovascular system and promotes blood circulation. This leads to more oxygen being absorbed. Fresh air and exercise help to clear your head and recharge your batteries.

At a time when many children, young people and parents are under pressure, it is particularly important to know different methods and self-help techniques to regulate stress management. In addition to other options, I also use walking with a stick in my training sessions to reduce stress through movement and stimulating the foot reflex zones. A pleasant feeling of relief can arise.

It's fascinating to learn how a simple movement can have so many positive effects!
