Why grounding?
If you ground yourself, you can weather even the biggest storms in peace. (Steve Goodier)
A good connection with the earth strengthens your immune system and reduces stress. We all know that electrical devices need to be grounded. However, most of us are not aware that our bodies only function properly when they are in contact with the earth and are therefore grounded. Who of us still has regular contact with the earth today? Our modern lifestyle is not designed to spend a lot of time in nature or to consciously connect with the earth. We wear shoes with soles made of synthetic materials that prevent contact with the earth. In addition, electromagnetic pollution has increased dramatically and so we are living more and more in an unnatural state. In concrete terms, this means that almost all of us suffer from a lack of excited electrons and this state of disconnection is a causal factor in many diseases of civilization. These complaints include inflammation, stress, digestive problems, anxiety and sleep problems. Other signs of weak grounding are: cravings for sweets, cold feet, little body awareness, a feeling of not being properly present, balance problems, emotional fluctuations and aimlessness. Studies in the field of environmental medicine have found that conscious grounding has a positive effect on these complaints and increases general well-being.
American cardiologist and bestselling author Dr. Stephen Sinatra says the following in his book Earthing: "I consider earthing to be the greatest health breakthrough in all my years of medical practice. Earthing restores the body's natural electrical state, harmonizes the nervous system, reduces inflammation, and improves circulation."
The simplest method is to walk barefoot, lie down on the grass or on the ground, so you are in direct physical contact with the earth, which influences the charge of the electrons in your body. This also has a positive effect on your blood circulation and your sleeping habits. Since only a few people are able to walk barefoot regularly or have contact with the earth, other grounding aids are needed.
